At the beginning of most separation solutions there is a problem. To analyze and solve this problem by implementing the applicable process technology equipment requires a long experience in plant and machinery business.

Troubleshooting
A customer contacts ANDRITZ KMPT with his separation problem. In the initial meeting, a sales engineer consults with the customer and reviews the details of his process and completes a questionnaire on separation technology. The form includes product specifications of the suspension and solid such as viscosity, solids content or inlet temperature. Other questions handle the operating conditions, installation site (above sea level, etc) and further design data. The completed questionnaire will be forwarded for further examination to a test engineer at our Test Center.

Test Center
The Test Center is our knowldege pool with more than 5.000 products tested. In case that the design of the production machine is feasible up to this end, a recommendation is based on field reports. Tests must often be conducted to confirm the sizing of the production equipment.  


Application Test
To carry out application tests, representative product samples from  the customer’s site or the R&D department are essential. Depending on the customer’s preference, the tests can be conducted in Vierkirchen(Germany), Florence(USA) or with rental equipment at site. 

Scale-up
Following the tests, and their evaluation, scale-up to production size equipment is determined.
